Theater-In-Education
Discover the magic of Theater in the jungle!
We are a private learning center for ages 6 - 18 years old located in the beautiful town of Nosara, Costa Rica. We pride ourselves on high standards for Academics, Social-Emotional Development and the Creative Arts. We have created a vibrant, imaginative space where children can freely express themselves by integrating Theater In Education with Montessori principles. While we do have some Spanish classes, the majority of instruction is in English.
We provide 4 classrooms:
What We Believe
We believe education is about becoming a good human being, not just collecting information.
We begin each day in community, giving children space to speak, listen, reflect, and learn how to understand their feelings and each other.
We teach children how to be good friends, how to navigate sadness, conflict, joy, and disappointment with honesty and empathy.
We learn through movement, music, storytelling, and play, because the brain learns best when the whole body is engaged.
We are not a worksheet school. Learning is not reduced to paper, pencils, and tests.
We use minimal exams and homework, believing that deep presence during the school day matters more than busy work at night.
We honor family life, encouraging children to go home in the evenings and be fully with their families.
We believe theatre, music, and singing are powerful forms of education, building confidence, empathy, communication, and courage.
We act out science and history, becoming the timeline of life, ancient civilizations, and living systems so learning is embodied and memorable.
We study living things by observing them, building models, exploring nature, and asking real questions — not only by reading about them.
We believe storytelling is one of humanity’s oldest and most powerful teaching tools.
We draw inspiration from ancient cultures and tribal communities, where people gathered daily to share stories, feelings, and wisdom.
We value the study of ancient classics, mythology, and history as mirrors for understanding ourselves and the world.
We believe character matters. Integrity, honesty, kindness, and responsibility are taught every day — not as slogans, but as lived practice.
We see each child as a unique character, worthy of deep attention, respect, and understanding.
We teach grace and courtesy, helping children move through life with dignity and respect for themselves and others.
We believe learning should feel meaningful, joyful, and alive, not rushed or fear-based.
We believe nature is a teacher, and that children learn best when they are connected to the living world around them.
We believe education should prepare children for life, not just the next exam or academic milestone.
We are raising thoughtful, creative pioneers of this Earth, grounded in community, curiosity, courage, and care.
